reliable, long-term birth control for up to five years. For women who want the freedom to choose, Mirena is fully reversible and won’t interfere with any plans for children in the future.

• Mirena provides continuous contraceptive protection for up to 5 years but can be removed at any time if you wish to stop using the method for any reason.
• Mirena is 99.9% effective at preventing pregnancy
• Once removed you can become pregnant – it does not compromise your
  future fertility
• It doesn't interfere with sex, because while the system is fitted you have
  constant contraception cover
• Mirena may reduce your period pain
• After a few months Mirena may reduce menstrual flow to little or nothing so your periods are lighter and shorter
